MEDFORD, NY, UNITED STATES, September 17, 2026 — A1 Roofing, a second-generation family-owned roofing company serving Long Island and the greater New York region, is celebrating its 45th anniversary in 2026. Since its founding in 1981, the company has grown from a local roofing business into an award-winning contractor trusted for commercial, residential and multifamily roofing projects.
For 45 years, A1 Roofing has remained committed to the principles on which it was built: quality workmanship, integrity, safety and dependable service. Today, the company continues to carry those values forward while embracing new roofing technologies, advanced materials and industry-leading installation practices.
“Reaching 45 years is an incredible milestone for our family and our entire organization,” said Vincent Malizia, co-owner and Chief Culture Officer of A1 Roofing. “Our success has been built on the trust of our clients, the dedication of our employees and the relationships we have developed throughout the industry. We are proud of how far A1 Roofing has come, but we remain focused on continuing to improve and serve our clients at the highest level.”
Over the years, A1 Roofing has completed projects for homeowners, commercial property owners, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, multifamily communities and some of the region’s most recognizable properties. The company has also earned numerous distinctions for craftsmanship, service and professional excellence within the roofing industry.

While the company has continued to grow, its family-centered culture remains an important part of its identity.
“Forty-five years represents generations of hard work, sacrifice and commitment,” said co-owner and CEO, John Malizia. “We are grateful to every client who trusted us with their property and to every employee who helped build A1 Roofing into the company it is today. This anniversary belongs to all of them.”
A1 Roofing’s commitment extends beyond the roofs it installs. Through its charitable division, A1 Cares, the company and its supporters have contributed more than half a million dollars to nonprofit organizations and community initiatives. Its efforts have supported children and families, healthcare programs, veterans, individuals with developmental disabilities, breast cancer organizations and other critical needs.
As A1 Roofing enters its next chapter from its headquarters in Medford, the company remains focused on responsible growth, innovation, employee development and long-term relationships with clients and industry partners.
“This anniversary gives us an opportunity to honor our past while looking ahead to the future,” added Vincent Malizia. “The industry will continue to evolve, but our promise will remain the same: to stand behind our work and deliver quality in every project.”
A1 Roofing will commemorate its 45th anniversary throughout 2026 by recognizing its employees, clients, partners and the communities that have contributed to the company’s success.
