Job Description
The roof foreman plans, directs, and coordinates activities pertaining to the roof installation/repair, in accordance with company policies and OSHA safety guidelines. This is including but is not limited to; overseeing mechanics’ and helpers’ work quality and making sure all safety procedures and company policies are being followed. The residential roof mechanic is also responsible for communicating with clients regularly as well as with operations managers regarding the progression of work.

Supervisory Responsibility:
Responsible for the quality of work of crew helpers and mechanics. Responsible for each employee on the job site; must make sure crews are following company policies and OSHA guidelines.
Work Environment:
This job operates outside on rooftops of residential or commercial properties. Employees will be exposed to extreme cold/hot weather conditions. Properties can be anywhere in the tri-state area.

The position must climb to rooftops and remain on rooftops for extended periods of time. The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time, and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints, or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina.
